Extra Ada pics

Uncle Brian visit 2: Sushi Day

Last night (Tuesday) Brian, Michelle and Jeff came over and Brian made us a huge sushi spread. Here're some pics from the day. Although no pics of the sushi on account of that didn't stay around long.

If you look back and forth between the next two pics you get a good action scene...

Uncle Brian comes to visit

Ada's uncle Brian came to town on Sunday and he discovered that the Adanator is a big fan of bubbles.

Ada in her pink sweater

Here she is in a pink sweater Aunt Paula gave her. Don't know why she looks so spooked.

Ada's 3 month birthday

Saturday was Ada's 3 month birthday. To celebrate we plopped her into her stroller and walked over to Uncle Jeff and Aunt Michelle's place.

This is Ada being introduced to "cake."

And this is what Ada thinks about "cake."

And here she is, tired after a long day and wrapped up in her cowpoke bunting bag.

Ada with her Lamb

This is Ada with her stuffed lamb. It was knit by our friend Lora.

Picnic day

There's some great parkland that snakes through the neighbourhoods of northern Waterloo. We took Ada there on Tuesday.

This is Ada's first encounter with ducks. She didn't really notice them. Ducks liked her though. Thought she looked like a big ol' loaf of fluffy white bread.

Ada drinking from her bottle

Jeehosephat! Don't know what happened with the perspective in this pic, but it looks like Ada is about as big as my hand. Rest assured that she is many hands long.

Anyway... with Karen going back to work in about a month now, it was getting pretty important that Ada learned to eat from a bottle. And frankly, it was pretty dicey there for a while. Man, she'd scream bloody murder when you tried to give her one. But now, as you can see, she'll happily drink from a bottle. Much of the time.

Apple

This is the apple that has captivated infants for generations. Dave loved it, Ada loves it, Jeff was scared of it. In fact, it was this apple that inspired Ada to roll over for the first time.

Port Dover

It was crazy hot here last week so we rented a car and went to the beach. Unfortunately Ada just slept at the beach and I don't know if lake Erie is safe to swim in.

Exciting Things Near Waterloo: Number 1

The only covered bridge in Ontario, wow isn't that amazing?
At least there was a general store near by that sells fresh mennonite-made blueberry pies.
